Previous trucking experience along with a good driving record greatly assists in getting a truck driver job. The more years of experience you have in driving the better it is for you. Candidates in trucking need to hold working experience of several months to one year. New graduates too can start a career in trucking.

Truck drivers can make from $32,000 to $42,000 per year at the start. This figure can increase according to the experience and can reach up to $60,000 to $70,000 per year.

Trucking jobs are in great demand and allow all individuals to become a truck driver and earn a good generous amount if they want to. Even during the financial crisis and economic slow down the need for truck drivers will remain high.
