Dump Truck Driver Jobs description
A truck having a bed that tilts backward to discharge loose load is known as a dump truck. Dump truck drivers haul materials such as dirt, rock, asphalt, concrete, sand etc.The primary responsibility of a dump truck driver is to transport and deliver material to various excavation and construction sites. Other important day-to-day duties include conducting pre-trip inspection, inspecting safety latches to ensure load is secure, dumping load within designated area, communicating with dispatch, completing job related paperwork, logs and all necessary reports and operating truck in compliance with DOT requirements and safety precautions.
For a dump truck driver job, a high school diploma or a G.E.D is preferred. Minimum age requirement is generally between 21-25 years. A candidate must possess a valid class A CDL and have a good and clean driving record. Prior dump truck driving experience is desirable. An ideal candidate must be able to pass alcohol/drug test and must have a current medical card.
