Van Driver Jobs
A van driver job involves operating and driving a van for transport, pickup and delivery purposes. It is the responsibility of a van driver to operate a van safely and practice courteous driving habits.
A van may be used for delivery purpose, in which case a van driver collects the goods, loads the vehicle and uploads the goods at the drop off point. A van may also be used as transportation to pick up and drop off people from one place to another. Other duties of a van driver include providing prompt and friendly service, ensuring that company policies and state and federal laws are followed, monitoring the operating condition of the van and reporting mechanical problems immediately, performing general maintenance on the vehicle and keeping the van clean and serviced.
For a van driver job, a high school diploma or a G.E.D is preferred but not mandatory. Minimum age requirement generally varies between 21-25 years. A candidate must hold a CDL and a clean driving record. Previous experience in commercial transportation is desired.
