CDL Trucking Jobs
A CDL (commercial driver license) allows millions of drivers to drive commercial vehicles in USA. The job entails driving and operating trucks, vans, buses, tractor trailers, auto haulers, tankers, water trucks and various other kinds of commercial vehicles.
CDL trucking jobs may involve local, regional and cross country driving. The primary responsibility of a CDL driver is to transport cargo to and from specific destinations. Other important duties include loading and unloading cargo, undertaking routine mainainence and general repairs, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations and maintaining travel and cargo logs and all other appropriate vehicle documents.
For a CDL trucking job, a high school diploma or a G.E.D is preferred. Minimum age requirement generally varies between 21-25 years. A candidate must possess a valid class A or B CDL. Previous OTR experience and a good driving record are important. A candidate should also be able to pass a drug/alcohol and background check.
