Job Details:

This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor/trailer combinations short and/or long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks : Applicants will be considered for any shuttle driver type opening. Tasks include, but are not limited to, transporting raw and finished goods between Enid facilities, backing trailers to dock doors for loading and unloading purposes. The candidate will need basic computer skills to complete required training or tasks. Other tasks in this position will be to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat and reach. The Team member must be willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds. Candidate must be willing to work in the cold or heat (10 degrees below zero to 105 degrees) or damp environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces. Candidate must be able to work overtime and weekends.

Requirements : Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a current and valid appropriate driver’s license for the type of vehicle that will be operated. Applicants must have 12 months verified experience in a like vehicle or 9 months, if the experience is in the last 12 months. The applicant should also be able to, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports and records. If an applicant meets Tysons minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview. Applicants who have worked for Tyson before may be considered for rehire if they meet the location’s rehire criteria. Your application is only active for the current month in which you applied.
